We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Carpenter / Apprentice & Journeyman to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood framing, cabinetry, trim, and other wood construction materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking.
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely while maintaining adherence to power tool safety standards.
- Install fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinetry, moldings, stucco finishes, and other residential or commercial components.
- Assist in rebar installation, masonry work, metal stud framing, caulking, stucco application, and mold remediation as needed.
- Operate woodworking machines efficiently for precise cuts and assembly of wood products.
- Follow construction estimating procedures to assist in project planning and resource management.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite; ensure all safety protocols are followed during construction activities.
- Support restoration industry projects by performing carpentry tasks related to building repairs and renovations.
- Collaborate with team members on-site to complete projects on time while ensuring quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience with residential carpentry or related fields is highly preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills, saws, sanders for woodworking; and woodworking machines.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with framing techniques including metal stud framing and wood framing methods.
- Experience with fixture installation, cabinetry work, trim carpentry, caulking, stucco application or masonry is desirable.
- Strong understanding of power tool safety practices; ability to operate power tools responsibly.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
- Valid experience in the restoration industry or handyman services is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions clearly.
