Duties And Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Graphic Design that focus on digital media, including, but not limited to: UI/UX, Web Design, Emerging Media in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, as well as Introduction to Graphic Design.
- Assess and redevelop existing courses in digital media.
- Oversee and work with students in the Graphic Design Capstone experience course, taught on a rotating basis with faculty.
- Work closely with other faculty in developing and recruiting for the Graphic Design program.
- Meet the university’s requirements for reappointment, tenure, and promotion, including creative scholarship and service.
- PhD or equivalent.
- At least one year full-time college level teaching experience as instructor of record.
- Extensive working knowledge of UI/UX, Web Design and Emerging Media in Graphic Design.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, Figma, Word Press, Adobe After Effects and Premier.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- History of either exhibition or publication of personal creative/research work.
- Record of teaching experience at all levels including web design and emerging media.
