What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSISTANT DIRECTOR/DONOR RELATIONS AND STEWARDSHIP position at Central Michigan University?
The primary responsibilities of this position are to develop and manage donor relations and stewardship processes for the Chippewa Athletic Fund (CAF). This includes but is not limited to executing daily, monthly, and annual stewardship processes, gift transmittal and acknowledgement, database/data management, generating donation reports, and special event planning and execution.
Required Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and work experience that equates to at least four years.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Team-oriented with a customer service mindset.
Proven time management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and carry out multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
Proficiency with Microsoft e-mail, Excel, Word, and online applications.
Preferred Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree.
Experience in fundraising at the collegiate level.
Experience using a customer relationship management database (CRM).
Knowledge of graphic design software.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations to ensure institutional compliance with athletics development initiatives.
Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information.

Coordinates CAF stewardship policies and processes.
Leads the CAF gift transmittal process.
Plans and implements donor special events.
Runs donation reports, pulls data for analysis, and coordinates data for solicitations and communications.
Coordinates gift acknowledgement process: weekly and monthly gift reporting to the Deputy Athletic Director, CAF staff, coaches, and administrators.
Implements appropriate recognition and stewardship efforts for all donors, including gift acknowledgement letters and appropriate benefits from CAF/department, coaches, and administrators.
Supports the fundraising team with gift tracking, acknowledgement delivery, and other communication.
Responsible for data management of direct mailings/merges/solicitations.
Plans and implements donor special events.
Projects a positive and professional image of the University and the CAF within the public at CAF and athletic events.
Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $43,000 - $50,000
