Central Market is looking for a motivated, hands-on Deli Manager to lead our deli department. If you’re passionate about food, enjoy developing a team, and take pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience, we’d love to meet you!
Schedule
- Full-time, 40–50 hours per week
- Every other weekend off
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop deli employees.
- Oversee daily department operations, production, and food preparation.
- Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain appropriate product levels.
- Create employee schedules and manage labor efficiently.
- Fry foods and assist with hands-on food preparation as needed.
- Stock shelves and maintain attractive, well-organized displays.
- Receive deliveries, verify invoices, and ensure order accuracy.
- Take customer orders and ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, product quality, and FIFO inventory practices.
- Monitor department performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead by example and create a positive, productive work environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a deli, grocery, food service, or retail environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with inventory management, ordering, and employee scheduling.
- Understanding of labor management and food cost control.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to assist with daily department tasks.
- Commitment to excellent customer service and team development.
- ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain it.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
