Job OverviewAs a Freight Broker, you will be the key link between shippers and carriers, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation. The ideal candidate is a natural relationship builder with excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of developing long-term partnerships with both clients and carriers.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and other logistics partners.
- Proactively identify and onboard new customers and carriers to expand our network.
- Negotiate competitive rates and secure capacity for shipments.
- Oversee the end-to-end freight process, ensuring timely pickup, transit, and delivery.
- Resolve any transportation issues quickly and effectively, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, pricing, and regulations to optimize logistics strategies.
- Communicate effectively with clients and carriers to ensure smooth transactions and long-term partnerships.
- Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a logistics-related role.
- A strong network of carriers and shippers is a plus.
- Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Proficiency in transportation management software (TMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
