What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Manager (Part Time) position at Central Jefferson Chiropractic?
Title: Office Manager & Billing Specialist – Help Us Grow!
The Impact You’ll Make:
As our Office Manager, you are the heartbeat of our clinic. You aren’t just filing papers; you are ensuring our patients feel cared for from the moment they walk in until they finish their therapy. You’ll have the autonomy to manage the "business side" so our doctor can focus on healing. You’ll fit right in if you enjoy high-energy environments and don’t mind trading your office shoes for sneakers during our team 5K run/walks!
What You’ll Do (The Mix of Clinical & Business):
- Patient Concierge & Care: You’ll be hands-on with patient flow, including administering Ultrasound and Interferential Therapies. You’re the friendly face they see at the front desk and the supportive hand during treatment.
- Billing & Insurance Mastery: You’ll own the weekly coding, billing, and collections process. You are the expert who navigates the insurance maze to ensure our patients (and the practice) are taken care of.
- Growth & Marketing: Use your social media and print advertising skills to share our mission and bring new patients into the fold. Creativity encouraged!
- Team Leadership: You’ll lead our hiring efforts, ensuring every new team member fits our unique culture and values.
- Operational Excellence: From HIPAA compliance to data entry and payment processing, you keep the "machine" running smoothly and efficiently.
- Practice Pride: We take ownership of our healing environment, inside and out. This means jumping in to keep our space welcoming for patients—whether that’s a quick sweep of the walk in the summer or clearing a light dusting of snow in the winter.
Who You Are:
- A Wellness Advocate: You have a genuine interest in natural health and live the lifestyle we promote.
- A Multi-Tasking Pro: You can pivot from a complex insurance call to assisting a patient with therapy without breaking a sweat.
- A Self-Starter: You don’t wait for instructions; you see a project that needs organizing and you "make it happen."
- Tech-Savvy: You’re a pro at MS Office and can learn new chiropractic software in a flash.
The Essentials:
· Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Experience: 2 years in medical/chiropractic billing and coding (proficient with ICD-10 and CPT codes) preferred.
· Physicality: Ability to stand for periods while assisting with therapy and perform light physical tasks (shoveling/sweeping) as needed for patient safety.
