What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Coordinator/EMS Instructor position at Central Jackson County Fire Protection District?
This position will develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate all phases of clinical training for the EMT and Paramedic programs. This individual will assist with the organization and instruction of certification programs, develop and present CEUs for internal and external audiences, and assist with the EMT and paramedic programs.
Responsibilities
The Clinical Coordinator/EMS Education Instructor will primarily handle all aspects of the clinical coordination of both the EMT and paramedic programs. They will develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate all phases of the clinical training. They will directly support the Director and Assistant Director in duties related to the daily operations of the EMS Education Division including the development and coordination of monthly internal and external continuing education programs. They will assist with the organization and instruction of certification programs such as: ACLS, AMLS, PHTLS, EPC, BLS, PALS, Paramedic program, EMT program, Internal and external continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years as a paramedic or RN with prehospital experience.
- Previous EMS Educational experience/Preceptor experience.
- Ability to present on numerous EMS topics at advanced level.
- Proficient computer knowledge and skills.
- 40-Hour EMS Instructor Certificate within 6 months of hire.
