What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Support Specialist position at Central Iowa Recovery, Inc.?
THIS POSITION IS FOR EVERY SATURDAY 10 AM - 3 PM & OTHER HOURS AS NEEDED!

Responsibilities:
- MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with members of the community and organizations in the community.
- Must be able to transport members to and from the center, when necessary.
- Answer phone calls from members asking for a ride to the center.
- De-escalate situations as necessary.
- Plan center involvement in events such as county fair.
- Host discussion groups with members regarding positive mental health.
- Perform general center maintenance duties.
- Attend monthly staff meetings
- Effectively communicate with Supervisor, other staff, and members who attend the center.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
