Cashier / Sales Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our international market team. This role combines front-end cashier duties with sales floor support, helping create a welcoming environment while assisting customers with a diverse range of global products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive service
• Process transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods securely
• Assist customers in locating products and answering questions about international foods and items
• Provide basic product knowledge, including ingredients and common uses
• Restock shelves and maintain organized, well-stocked displays
• Monitor product freshness, expiration dates, and overall quality
• Bag items carefully, considering fragile or perishable goods
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and sales floor
• Support store operations, including merchandising and promotional displays
• Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in international foods and cultures

Working Conditions:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• May be required to lift up to 25–50 pounds
