Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, electrical systems, transmissions, and other vehicle components.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on powertrain components including transmission, transfer case, driveshaft, and differential.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to assess mechanical condition and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance services.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed for accurate documentation and customer transparency.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or service technician experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and powertrain components.
- Experience working with GM and Ford vehicles or similar brands is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
