DescriptionOur Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for both proprietary brands and other consumer recognized brands, is searching for a part time Merchandiser in our Seabrook, NH area. This position includes stocking and arranging the product displays, including grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery, in home improvement centers of Lowe’s, Home Depot’s and WalMart stores. MEASURES OF SUCCESS Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden grass seed, chemicals, bird feed, fertilizer and clay potterySet and maintain the shelves according to retailer mandated planograms/modularsInstall and maintain off-shelf display opportunities for Central Garden productsWeekend consumer interaction during peak season (training provided)IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES Previous merchandising experience preferredStrong communication skills needed to interact with store management and consumersStrong reading skills needed to understand packaging labels and re-tagging projectsMust be able to bend, pull and lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the course of a work dayMust be able to climb ladders, use a pallet jack and hand powered toolsMust have a valid driver’s license in the state in which you reside, a good driving record, reliable transportation and proof of current personal car insurance with you listed as an insured driverMust have daily access to internet/emailMust have personal Smartphone with a current operating system: Android 13.0 or above, or Apple IOS 15.0 and above for daily communications with supervisorResponsible, reliable and dependable work habitsAbility to work in a constant state of alertness and safe mannerWORKING CONDITIONS Retail store environment – garden center and throughout retail storeWork week is Monday - Friday and some weekends (primarily Saturday)Must be able to bend, pull and lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the course of a work dayMust be able to climb ladders, use a pallet jack and powered hand toolsDaily travel throughout territory may require driving time (personal car)RemotePOSITION INFORMATION This position pays $16.00 -$19.00 per hour based on experience.Reimbursement of potential cell phone expenses and mileage/travel expenses at a rate of $2.00 per diem/per hour workedYou will also receive $10.00 per month to cover the expense of your data plan as you will be utilizing company apps on your personal phoneBenefits for part-time positions include paid time off (sick time) and 401(K).
