Maintenance TechD&D Commodities, a business unit of Central Garden & Pet Company, is a leader in the bird food manufacturing industry.We are searching for a Maintenance Technician for our Greeley, CO, location. This role is critical for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the upkeep of the facility. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with tight schedules and deadlines.Shift Details:- First shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- Full-time position, with potential for some overtime and weekend shifts.
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, following manufacturer's instructions.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Fabricate and replace parts using hand and power tools, and machine shop equipment.
- Install and set up production machines; disassemble and replace components such as motors, bearings, and belts.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Operate forklifts, bobcats, tractors, and other motorized equipment for facility and machine maintenance.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment by adhering to company safety policies and Food Safety regulations.
- Perform emergency repairs on production machinery and ensure all work orders are completed efficiently.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- General mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and operating machine shop tools preferred.
- Regular and reliable attendance, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to read technical documents and follow both oral and written instructions.
- Electrical knowledge or experience is a plus.
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience preferred.
- 1 years of experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Welding, fabrication, and machine operation experience.
- Knowledge of plant and production processes.
- Work environment includes a non-climate-controlled warehouse production facility, with frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts, product irritants/allergens, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Occasionally, tasks may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and amidst moderate noise levels.

Expected Hiring Range: $22.00-$26.00/hour, based on qualifications and experience.
