Kaytee (Central Garden & Pet) is currently looking fora 2ndshiftClass 6Local CDL/Forklift Driver-Level I–to join our team at Kaytee in Chilton, WI.In this role,you will safely move, position, and spot trailers,unloadand load trucks, and move materials throughout the facility.Additionalresponsibilities include inventory-related tasks such as cycle counts.This position works Monday – Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm; be home every weekend! RESPONSIBILITIES- Safely move, position, and spot trailers (Yard spotting) totransfer trailers in and out of docksacross campus
- Move products toappropriate storagelocations using company yardspotter.
- Perform pre- and post-move inspections of trailers and yard equipment
- Accurately complete RF scanner functions affecting inventory and paperwork.
- Safely,accuratelyand efficientlyoperateforklift (sit-down/stand-up) and/or handcart.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Unload trucks (as assigned).
- Pick Orders (as assigned).
- Keepsworkarea clean and orderly.
- Understand and support the goals andobjectivesof the department.
- Other tasks assigned bysupervisor.
- Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnelfor correction.
- CDL Licenserequired
- Good drivingrecord required
- Yardspottingexperience preferred.
- Previousforklift (sit-down/stand-up) or handcart experience (preferred).
- Ability to work safely and efficiently.
- Comfortable with the use of an RF Scanner (will train).
- Mustbe able to perform basic math skills.
- Kaytee certification in forklift driving isrequired(will train).
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and work in a team environment.
- Must have solid organizational skills.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Work is performed in both a warehouse environment and outdoors in the yard, with exposure to varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Warehouse temperatures may fluctuate depending on outside weather conditions.
- Hours of work aregenerally duringregular business hours for the assigned shift and average at least40 hoursper week.
- Work hours may vary due to overtime, special projects, deadlines, or other business needs.
- Regular physical activities include climbing, lifting, bending, standing, walking, twisting, turning, and reaching with arms and hands.This role requires the ability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. At times, lifting or moving items weighing 50–100 pounds may berequiredwithassistance.
