GENERAL SUMMARY:
At Central Home Brands, we are seeking a motivated, dependable, and hands‑on Warehouse Associate to join our 2nd Shift team at the Sanford, NC location. This role plays a key part in our daily operations by ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, cleaned, packed, palletized, and loaded for shipment. The ideal candidate is flexible and capable of performing all aspects of warehouse operations while thriving in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. As a valued member of our operations team, you will contribute to meeting production goals, maintaining high quality standards, and supporting on‑time deliveries, all while working safely and efficiently to meet tight schedules and deadlines.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to communicate and understand directions.
- Ability to perform duties with attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and understand machine operating and safety procedures.
- Responsible for tasks in relation to packaging, consolidating, wrapping and/or loading picked orders onto delivery trucks in appropriate order and balancing.
- Responsible for maintaining accuracy while consolidating or loading trucks.
- Willingness to learn and work to the best of your abilities.
- Ability to cross train and take on other positions within the department when needed.
- Ability to rotate positions between various tasks in a timely manner.
- Multitask and prioritize work in an effective way.
- Ability to work closely with other team members in the warehouse or in the designated work area, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Help to train new co-workers in the department or other areas as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety and Quality standards, processes, procedures.
- Maintain a clean workplace to avoid tripping hazards or other accidents.
- Report any mechanical problems and unsafe conditions or practices to your supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support all areas of the operation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work extended hours, as required by operational needs.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, climb, carry for prolonged hours.
- Must be willing to use/wear safety equipment provided by the company.
- Must be able to do simple math- adding and subtracting.
- Must learn and understand the quality level involved in the day-to-day tasks.
- Must be able to handle heavy workflow while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to become certified and safely operate the electric pallet jack, reach truck, shrink wrapper, and/or other required equipment if needed.
- Ability to learn and understand SAP/Scanner functions.
- Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety vest and any other personal protective equipment as required for the facility/work area.
- Must be able to work full schedule: Sunday - Thursday 3:30pm - 12:00am (Schedules are subject to change).
