POSITION SUMMARY: This hybrid position supports multiple pharmacies by providing remote administrative and operational pharmacy support, while also serving as an on-call, in-person pharmacy technician to provide coverage at a Central Florida Health Care (CFHC) pharmacy site when needed. Primary responsibilities include remote patient follow-up, data entry, pharmacy queue management, and phone support. When required, the technician will report onsite to support pharmacy operations and cover technician shifts.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Program or High School Diploma/GED and Certificate from an employer sponsored Pharmacy program.
- Florida Board of Pharmacy Registration
- Active Pharmacy Technician Licensure (National) preferred
- Active Basic Life Support certification
- 1 – 2 years pharmacy technician experience in a pharmacy preferred
- Basic Math skills
- Strong Computer literacy
- Filing and documentation skills
- Understanding of use of pharmacy equipment and workflows
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to CFHC pharmacy sites as needed
- Be familiar with CFHC’s program philosophies, goals, and objectives and comply with all CFHC policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Treat patients, staff, and visitors with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect.
- Adhere to CFHC quality policies and actively participate in quality improvement activities.
- Follow all safety, OSHA, and exposure control requirements.
- Report to the Director of Pharmacy any information or situations that may impact patient care or CFHC liability.
- Attend and participate in mandatory CFHC meetings as designated.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
- Perform remote data entry of prescriptions and medication-related documentation.
- Manage and work pharmacy queues for multiple CFHC pharmacy locations.
- Conduct patient follow-up calls related to medication readiness, refills, prior authorizations, and general pharmacy inquiries.
- Answer incoming pharmacy phone calls and appropriately triage or resolve issues.
- Assist with third-party billing preparation and resolution as assigned.
- Support accurate documentation, filing, and electronic record maintenance.
- Collaborate with onsite pharmacy staff to ensure continuity of workflow and timely patient care.
- Serve as an on-call pharmacy technician to provide in-person coverage at CFHC pharmacy sites as needed.
- Assist with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing under pharmacist supervision when onsite.
- Receive and store incoming supplies and maintain inventory accuracy when working onsite.
- Clean and maintain pharmacy equipment and work areas according to prescribed procedures.
- Assist in maintaining proper drug storage, inventory, and sales records.
- Requires 80% or more time spent standing/walking.
- Independently mobile.
- Working under tight deadlines.
- Ability to lift weight equivalent to that required when repositioning equipment and lifting supplies.
- Ability to adapt and function in varying environments of workload, worksites and work shifts.
- Environmentally exposed to a variety of contagious diseases and other patient related conditions.
