Overview
Looking for an experienced asphalt equipment operator for an established paving company. Experience in operating pavers, skid steers, rollers, and lutes is required. A minimum of 1 year experience in asphalt paving is required. Pay based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as pavers, skid steers, and rollers. Experience in other equipment is a plus.
- Use lutes, shovels, and other hand equipment to help ensure asphalt is laid in a quality manner.
- Assist with paving activities by aligning equipment and ensuring proper compaction of asphalt.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to coordinate tasks, maintain safety standards, and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance logs, and project progress reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating paving equipment such as pavers, skid steers, and rollers.
- Knowledge of paving techniques and methods.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly.
- Prior construction site experience with an understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent for operating commercial vehicles not required, but a plus.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
