About the Company:
Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake and Seminole Counties.
CFC operates three 64-bed Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD's), Howell Branch Court, Lake View Court and Washington Square. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.

Purpose:
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality and cleanliness of the facility. This role requires the ability to work mostly independently and address a variety of maintenance and construction tasks as directed.
Essential Duties:
Follow maintenance schedule/instructions as outlined. Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns as soon as possible.
Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas and driveways as necessary, repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, painting, etc.
Perform on-call duties as required.
Keep work area free of hazardous conditions (i.e., grease/oil spills, excess supplies, equipment, etc.) to assure that all established safety rules/regulations are followed at all times.
Perform preventative maintenance to include air conditioning, lighting fixtures, electrical appliances, vehicles and mechanical systems.
Ensure physical environment is maintained for cleanliness and safety. Conduct daily floor care; sweeping, wet mopping, waxing, buffing and shampooing carpets as scheduled.
Required Qualification:
One (1) year of maintenance and general repair experience is required.
Must be 21 years old or older.
Hold a valid Florida driver’s license and capable of operating facility vehicle and maintaining a safe driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED preferred.
Three (3) years of construction, maintenance and general repair experience is preferred.

Hourly/ 21.00
