Grain Production Summary: Positions in Marion, SD and Lyons, SD
Responsible for the day to day duties and operations of maintaining and servicing customers at a truck or rail terminal. Assist in other areas of CFC operations as needed, depending on the season.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
· Must adhere to Fremar LLC and Central Farmers Cooperative Safety policies and procedures.
· Loading and unloading truck grain.
· Train loading operations (load, open/close lids, locomotive operation)
· Tarp bunkers
· Operate equipment to empty bunkers
· Operate snow removal equipment
· Assist customers as needed (directions, open hoppers, etc.)
· Dump trucks at pits
· General maintenance and clean up at facility
· Practice proper PPE and abide by all safety regulations including: lockout/tag out, permits, fall protection, and all other policies and procedures
· Maintain excellent customer service with both external and internal customers
· Operate with highest level of safety and adherence to company policy
· Maintain a clean and organized facility
· Extended hours expected in season (includes nights and weekends)
· Effectively communicate with manager, co-workers and other departments
· Other duties as assigned, including other areas of CFC
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or comparable GED
· Ability to think quickly and follow directions
· Read and write English
· Possess a positive attitude
· Knowledge of agriculture or farming background and mechanical equipment
· Valid Drivers License and CDL, or ability to obtain one
· Exceptional housekeeping
· Knowledge of computers is preferred
· Possess strong attention to safety
· Able to legally work in the United States
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to regularly lift up to 50#
· Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations of 200 ft.
· Must be able to work in dirty, dusty environment
· Must be able to work in all outside weather conditions
· Must be able to work in high noise environments
Work Environment
May be exposed to dust and other conditions common to agricultural environments. This position is a full time, non-exempt, hourly position. Hours per week will be up to 40 hours per week during non-peak times of the year. Overtime may be required seasonally, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
This is a safety sensitive position. The work involved in this job will require the employee to wear PPE, to include, but not limited to: high visibility clothing, steel toed shoes or boots, and may require a hard hat. Employees working in a safety sensitive position are not permitted to be at work while under the influence of any drugs, alcohol or medication, (legal or illegal, prescribed or over the counter) that may impair their ability to function in a safe manner. If you have been prescribed any medication that may impair your ability to do your job in a safe manner, you are required to report this to your manager and/or the Safety Director.
