Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Special Education Teacher located in Central Falls, RI. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. They will work closely with middle school students, providing tailored instruction and support to meet their unique needs. The role involves collaborating with other teachers, staff, and parents to ensure an inclusive learning environment and effective communication regarding student progress.
Qualifications
- Experience in Special Education and understanding of various Disabilities
- Proven Teaching skills, particularly in a Middle School setting
- Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with diverse student needs
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; a Master's degree is a plus
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
