Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled Senior Licensed Acupuncturist (Level II or Level III) to join our established holistic health clinic. The ideal candidate holds a Master of Acupuncture (MAc) or Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM / MSOM) degree and possesses a deep clinical track record of handling complex patient cases, managing high-volume patient flows, and demonstrating exceptional retention.
In this role, you will provide expert acupuncture treatments, focusing on acute pain management and trigger point therapy, to enhance patient well-being and recovery. Your deep understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology will enable you to perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations with precision. As a senior practitioner, you will lead patient care initiatives, ensure adherence to aseptic techniques, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional service in a collaborative environment.
Classification Flexibility: This position is available as either a Part-Time/Full-Time Hourly Employee (W-2) or an Independent Contractor (1099). We recognize that senior practitioners have different career preferences, and we offer distinct professional ecosystems to support either choice.
Core ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Clinical Care
- Expert Diagnosis & Treatment: Conduct comprehensive intakes for complex, chronic, or acute conditions using traditional and modern diagnostic methodologies. Formulate and adapt highly effective, individualized treatment plans.
- Comprehensive Modalities: Administer masterful acupuncture treatments and expertly integrate secondary modalities (e.g., electro-acupuncture, advanced cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, and herbal prescriptions if within scope).
- Patient Retention & Leadership: Maintain an excellent patient retention rate by educating clients on cumulative care plans, lifestyle modifications, and long-term wellness strategies.
Mentorship & Clinic Operations
- Clinical Mentorship: Serve as a peer leader and mentor to Level I acupuncturists, providing case consultations and sharing clinical insights.
- EHR Mastery: Maintain pristine, detailed, and timely SOAP notes in compliance with HIPAA and insurance requirements using the clinic's management software.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Master of Acupuncture (MAc) or Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine / Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MAcOM / MSOM) from an ACAHM-accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted state license to practice acupuncture.
- Certification: Board certification by the NCCAOM and valid Clean Needle Technique (CNT) certification.
- Experience: * Level II: 3–5 years of continuous clinical experience with a proven track record of patient management.
- Level III: 5 years of clinical experience, advanced specialization (e.g., orthopedics, fertility, oncology), and a high degree of clinical autonomy.
- Skills: Exceptional bedside manner, strong diagnostic capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively within an integrated healthcare team.

Option A: Employee Track (W-2)
This track is designed for practitioners who want maximum stability, fully integrated team support, and zero administrative or overhead burdens.
- Compensation: Competitive hourly base rate plus performance/retention bonuses, or a stable salary structure.
- Operational Support: * Fully Supplied: The clinic provides all needles, specialized clinical tools, herbs, PPE, treatment tables, and fresh linens.
- Dedicated Admin Team: Full front-desk and back-office support handling all scheduling, patient check-ins, automated reminders, and billing/insurance verification.
- Marketing Engine: Active placement of new patients onto your schedule through the clinic’s dedicated marketing campaigns and internal referrals.
- Benefits & Security: Covered under the clinic's general liability umbrella (malpractice still required), paid sick leave/PTO (dependent on hours), and payroll tax contributions (FICA) managed by the employer.
Option B: Independent Contractor Track (1099)
This track is tailored for seasoned practitioners seeking maximum schedule autonomy, business independence, and a high-reward, volume-driven payout structure.
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
