Job Title: Preschool Teacher.
Reports To: Center Director / Assistant Director.
Position Summary:
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool-aged children. This position requires knowledge of early childhood best practices, including CLASS, Teaching Strategies GOLD (TS GOLD), and experience using the ABEKA curriculum. The teacher supports children’s academic, social, and emotional growth while building positive relationships with families and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create a loving, supportive, and structured classroom environment.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons using the ABEKA curriculum.
- Utilize CLASS strategies to promote positive teacher-child interactions.
- Observe, document, and assess children’s progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD.
- Support children’s social-emotional development and positive behavior guidance.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding children’s development.
- Collaborate with team members and administration to meet program goals.
- Follow all state licensing, health, and safety regulations. Participate in required trainings and professional development.
Qualifications:
- CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of CLASS and Teaching Strategies GOLD.
- Experience using the ABEKA curriculum.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills. Patient, nurturing, dependable, and professional.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the day. Ability to supervise children indoors and outdoors.
Work Schedule:
- [Full-time / Part-time]. 7:00-4:00.
