DEPUTY DIRECTOR
DESCRIPTION.
Assist Health Director in serving a 3-county district of 78,000 residents in Central Nebraska.
Performs a variety of interdisciplinary assignments which include but are not limited to: plan, develop and administer grants and other projects; determine and allocate resources such as staff, equipment, and facilities; monitor and evaluate program performance; schedule program staff and conduct staff evaluations; develop effective working relationships with governmental, professional, and community agencies at all levels; obtain and maintain knowledge related to current public health practice; prepare and submit reports; assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations; participate in budget process; obtain and maintain knowledge related to current public health practice; other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED
Master’s degree in a health or business-related field from an accredited college or university. Four years of experience in public health or related field of which at least three years have been in a supervisory position.
PREFERRED
Master’s degree in public or community health preferred.
