What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook/Cashier at the Middle School position at Central Dewitt Community?
Middle School Cook/Cashier
6.5-hour position. Hours are 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a ½ hour unpaid lunch.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Cashier-
Knowledgeable in Infinite Campus and Infinite Campus Reports
Set up Terminals and make deposits
Confidentiality is a must
Training other cashiers
Knowledge of the breakfast and lunch state guidelines
In charge of Middle School Breakfast and planning menu’s/ Preparing and Serving Breakfast
Prepare salads, sandwiches and alternate main dish meals
Responsible for planning your order for the main distributor for the week for Breakfast and Ala
Carte items
Help other positions in the kitchen/ Food Prep
Use standardized recipes
Inventory
Have a good understanding of weights and measurements
Be proficient in math & know how to count change
Clean equipment, and dishes
Record keeping for HACCP and Salad Production records
Would need this person to be the backup person for various other positions in the kitchen.
All other assignments designated by the Manager and Nutrition Services Director
Pay will be $18.25 per hour
