SUMMARY
This is routine manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of the building. An employee in this classification is under the supervision of the Custodial Manager and is required to perform various duties requiring moderate physical strength. Typical routine duties include, but are not limited to: dusting mopping, waxing, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, and simple operation of basic mechanical cleaning equipment. Also manual labor associated with the recurring but non-routine cleaning and maintenance of the buildings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
- Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength.
- Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions in the conduct of the job.
- Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisors, teachers and students.
Selection for this position will be made on job performance, work history and seniority.
HOURS OF WORK:
6:30 am - 3:00 pm
Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $19.08/hr
