Fuel Truck Driver

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 years experience in fuel delivery. Position will be based out of our shop near Nitro, W and fuel will be delivered daily to job sites throughout southern WV. Other duties may include driving rollback, stone dump truck, or pickup with trailer to deliver materials to job sites.

Duties

• Operate and drive fuel truck.
• Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations while maintaining safety standards.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Load and unload cargo as necessary, utilizing forklifts when required.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with Hazmat Endorsement.
• Proficiency in operating various truck types such as fuel trucks and dump truck.
• Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to tight schedules.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• A commitment to safety and compliance with all transportation laws.

This position could require overnight travel. If so, company pays hotel.
