Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team to work on dump trucks and tractor trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with hands-on experience in working with various types of heavy equipment and vehicles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Conduct repairs on transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly and repair tasks.
- Interpret schematics to assist in diagnosing electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within automotive or heavy equipment repair.
- Experience with fabrication and assembly processes is a plus.
- Ability to operate dump trucks safely and efficiently.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
