The Storekeeper will assist in the Stores and Purchasing activities of County Connection’s Maintenance department. Typical duties are listed below and may include assisting with other various tasks as special projects as assigned or needed.

Education
The Storekeeper will assist in the Stores and Purchasing activities of County Connection’s Maintenance department. Typical duties are listed below and may include assisting with other various tasks as special projects as assigned or needed.
- Monitor inventory control systems to protect against inventory loss.
- Receive weekly fuel bids from appropriate vendors and place fuel orders as needed.
- Maintain the shop special request systems, purchase orders, follow-ups, receiving, notification, issuance, and files.
- Issue tools and supplies to maintenance personnel and other departments as required.
- Run inventory, stock re-order list and place necessary orders with appropriate vendors.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of storeroom; perform daily or regular inspection.
- Maintain accurate records for the stores purchasing unit within established procedures.
- Follow up on overdue orders.
- Assist in the implementation of purchasing procedures in accordance with the County Connection’s procurement and procedures manual as well as State and Federal regulations.
Minimum qualifications necessary to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform the essential functions of the position successfully are typically obtained through:
Education
- Equivalent to a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Knowledge of standard methods and practices used in shipping/receiving and storing as well as issuing materials, supplies, and equipment. Inventory control experience is preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity of Microsoft Office.
