Job Description
Central Interiors is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The responsibilities of this position include assisting the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager with the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of the project(s) to meet time and cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the lead Project Manager across daily field operations, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement logs; keep documentation current and accurate
- Review drawings and specifications, flag coordination conflicts, and help drive resolution
- Maintain daily reports, photo documentation, and progress tracking against the project schedule
- Coordinate with owners, architects, EORs, and trade partners to keep work moving
- Assist with budget tracking, cost coding, and cash-flow/billing support
- Help enforce quality control and jobsite safety standards
Qualifications
- 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Construction Project Manager or a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering (interiors/hospitality experience a strong plus)
- Capable of using online project management software (Procore)
- Capable of reading and understanding drawings and specifications
- Works well in a team setting
- Capable of producing a schedule using Microsoft Project
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
- Detail Oriented with developed organizational skills
