The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA is seeking a Youth & Family Services Director to lead and grow youth and family programming at the Woodruff Family YMCA.
This role oversees school-age child care, preschool, camp, and other youth and family programs, with responsibility for program quality, staff leadership, licensing and compliance, enrollment, budgets, and family experience. The Director will also identify and develop new programs that respond to community needs, increase participation, strengthen family engagement, and support branch growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead assigned youth and family programs and supervise program staff.
- Ensure compliance with Connecticut Office of Early Childhood requirements, YMCA standards, and applicable health, safety, and accreditation requirements.
- Develop and evaluate new youth and family programs based on community needs and opportunities for growth.
- Manage program budgets, enrollment and revenue goals, staffing, and expenses.
- Maintain high standards for program quality, supervision, family communication, and participant experience.
- Build relationships with families, schools, community organizations, and other partners.
- Lead program risk management, including youth protection, abuse prevention, mandated reporting, emergency preparedness, and staff training.
