The Soundview Y is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Pre and/or Post Care Counselors. In this role, you will supervise and engage campers in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment during the Pre/Post Camp Program. As part of our team, you will help create a positive and inclusive atmosphere, fostering friendships and personal growth among campers while upholding the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead campers in structured and unstructured activities.
- Maintain a positive and safe environment in accordance with YMCA policies.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with campers and their families.
- Ensure camp areas and equipment are clean and safe.
- Be vigilant at all times, ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.
- Follow all camp procedures related to supervision, attendance, health, and safety.
- Attend all required training and staff meetings.
