Position Summary
The Fisher Companies Ready Mix Concrete Team is seeking a qualified Concrete Quality Control Technician to support our commitment to delivering products that consistently meet or exceed industry standards and customer requirements. Our organization, which includes Fisher Sand & Gravel and Central Concrete Products, serves a broad portfolio of commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
In this role, the Quality Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and performance of concrete products through systematic testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires close collaboration with operations, production, sales, and technical services teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and specialized testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished concrete products in accordance with established industry standards and internal procedures.
- Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring alignment with specifications, tolerances, and quality control benchmarks; provide recommendations regarding product acceptance.
- Perform detailed visual inspections to verify compliance with established quality standards and project specifications.
- Collaborate with production and operations personnel to identify, investigate, and resolve quality-related issues.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control training programs and best practices.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized records of all testing, analyses, and quality assurance activities.
Qualifications
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) certification preferred.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Concrete Technology, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably within the concrete or construction materials industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of concrete properties, testing procedures, and applicable standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
