What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Support Specialist for CST position at Central Community Services, LLC?
Central Community Services is seeking an excellent NC Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our Community Support Team. Team services are provided to adults with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders in Franklin, Granville, Vance, and Warren counties.
Interventions include advocacy, instruction of illness management and recovery skills, assistance with housing and employment efforts, development of WRAPs, instruction of independent living and social skills, crisis prevention, supportive counseling, linkage and help to access community services, and community integration. Most interventions are provided within the consumer's home or community.
This a full-time position. Hourly wage is $18-$22 per hour.
Preferred candidates must: possess at least a high school diploma, be currently certified as a NC Peer Support Specialist, have at least one year of related work experience, have WRAP certification, be committed to best and ethical practices, have good written and oral communication skills (familiarity with EHR is helpful), work well independently and within a team, and have reliable transportation.
