Status: Full-Time (exempt)

Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, screen, and onboard volunteers using community and internal resources.
Design and implement orientation, training, and ongoing education programs.
Assign volunteers to appropriate roles across clinical, bereavement, and administrative areas.
Maintain up-to-date volunteer records including schedules, training logs, evaluations, and reports.
Ensure compliance with Medicare requirement: volunteers contribute at least 5% of total patient care hours.
Attend and transcribe during Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings, representing the volunteer program.
Collaborate with billing to monitor and report volunteer contribution metrics.
Supervise and evaluate volunteer performance and satisfaction.
Develop policies and procedures related to volunteer services.
Qualifications
Experience in hospice or healthcare setting preferred.
Prior experience as a Volunteer Coordinator or in program management.
Strong organizational, administrative, and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
High school diploma or GED
