CAILI (Central Coast Artificial Intelligence Learning Institute) is seeking a personable, patient, and business‑savvy AI Learning Instructor to teach practical, real‑world applications of AI to local businesses, professionals, and community members.
This role focuses on helping small business owners, entrepreneurs, and everyday users understand and apply AI tools to improve productivity, automate workflows, and modernize their operations.
You will lead in‑person classes, hands‑on workshops, and one‑on‑one training sessions that make AI approachable, useful, and easy to understand — especially for individuals with limited technical backgrounds.

Responsibilities
- Teach in‑person classes and workshops focused on practical AI use for small businesses (e.g., automation, marketing, CRM workflows, content creation, customer service tools).
- Provide one‑on‑one instruction to business owners, professionals, and community members who need personalized help using AI tools.
- Create simple, engaging lesson plans that break down complex AI concepts into easy-to-understand steps.
- Demonstrate real-world tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Canva, Zapier, Notion, CRM automations, email automation, and business workflow systems.
- Help students apply AI to their specific industries (real estate, contracting, medical offices, retail, hospitality, etc.).
- Offer patient, supportive guidance to learners who may be new to technology.
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay updated on emerging AI tools and business applications to keep curriculum relevant.
- Collaborate with CAILI leadership to improve course offerings and instructional methods.
- Assist in developing new workshops, business modernization programs, and community outreach events.
Experience
- Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, or training adults (formal or informal).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in simple, friendly language.
- Familiarity with modern AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, etc.) and willingness to learn new ones.
- Comfort working with small business owners, professionals, and individuals with varying levels of tech experience.
- Experience in customer service, education, consulting, or business operations is highly valued.
- Bonus: Experience with workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make, CRM systems) or small business software.
What This Role Is NOT
This is not a software engineering or coding instructor role.
You do not need to teach Python, Java, C , React, or machine learning theory.
This role is about practical AI for everyday business use, not academic computer science.
