Job Summary
Central Co-operative Insurance Company is a regional Property and Casualty insurance carrier located in Baldwinsville, NY. We are seeking to hire a Commercial Property and Casualty Underwriter. Duties
Directly accountable for the quality of business that is written and will handle service related and coverage specific questions from agents. The underwriter will also be directly responsible for:
- Reviewing/underwriting, quoting and binding of new and renewal business
- Educating agents on products
- Servicing phone calls, emails, and answering agent questions
- Reviewing of physical risk inspections and audits
- Conducting regular agent visits
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of Commercial Property & Casualty underwriting experience with an insurance company or Minimum of 10 years of Commercial Property & Casualty experience with an agency
- Associates degree preferred but not required
- Creativity and “outside the box” thinking is crucial
- Excellent communicator and relationship oriented professional
- Committed to excellent customer service
- Knowledge of Underwriters Rating Board forms is preferred, but not required
