What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Fabricator position at Central Civil Construction?
Central Civil Construction is seeking a motivated and experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will construct and manufacture metal parts and products, creating clean, precise welds that meet project specifications. You will work from blueprints, measure and cut materials accurately, and fabricate components used in later assembly processes. Attention to detail is critical, as you are responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of your work through proper welding techniques and simple quality checks.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for later assembly
- Follow blueprints to ensure exact specifications of output
- Produce strong, clean welds
- Test output to ensure strength and tolerance of welds
- A Welder Fabricator must constantly inspect and test welds and equipment. Welds are checked for durability as well as meeting specified standards and equipment must be examined to determine if repairs or new equipment is needed.
- Any other duties as required or assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Prior experience welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals
- Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment
- Blueprint reading and knowledge of common welding symbols
- High school diploma or a GED equivalent
- At least two years of experience in fabrication
- Ability to comprehend blueprints and work specifications
- Physical ability to lift at least 75 pounds or more
