Job Summary
We are looking for an Experienced Service Advisor who is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about automotive service. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between customers and our service technicians, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for every client. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will drive customer loyalty and dealership success.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their service needs
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance services, including oil changes, brake repair, tire service, transmissions, suspension, alignment, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, and auto body repair
- Prepare accurate auto estimates using dealership software and communicate pricing clearly to customers
- Upsell additional services or repairs that enhance vehicle performance and safety while maintaining transparency
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records
- Maintain a thorough understanding of automotive repair procedures to answer customer questions confidently
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience as a Service Advisor or in automotive service management
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs such as transmissions, brakes, suspensions, oil changes, and tire services
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Experience with auto estimating software and service writing processes
- Familiarity with automotive repair specialties including diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignment, auto body repair, and automobile sales is preferred
- Ability to upsell services tactfully while prioritizing customer needs
- Cash handling experience with attention to accuracy and integrity
