Job Responsibilities

Demonstrates thorough knowledge of teaching areas subject matter and teach day and evening classes at any college campus, other approved locations, and online when necessary. Prepare daily lectures and evaluate student progress and maintain accurate administrative records pertaining to classes. Prepare and evaluate tests, exams, projects, research assignments, and other course assignments. Develop and implement long-range operational and strategic plan for area(s) of responsibility to include curriculum development/revision and course/program implementation and/or elimination. Develop, implement, manage and evaluate academic program(s) by developing an annual plan of action, evaluating the goals and objectives of the plan, and using results to inform continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws as well as state, system, and college policies and procedures. Develop and maintain operational procedures to comply with such laws and regulations. Ensure compliance with all accreditation standards related to area(s) of responsibility. Ensure selection of appropriate textbooks/course materials. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate full-time and adjunct faculty in area(s) of responsibility. Ensure appropriate academic and program data is collected and reported. Make recommendations for organizational efficiency and communicate personnel vacancies. Communicate any personnel issues to the appropriate supervisor. Manage instructional management functions including classroom facilities, clinical/placement sites, and distance education delivery. Strategically develop academic schedule and assign faculty.


Minimum and Additional Requirements

Postsecondary Welding certificate or diploma and relevant industry experience.

Salary : $67,000 - $72,000
