This is accomplished through effective relationship-based selling, territory planning, and alignment with operational and support teams to deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell ready-mix concrete products and related services to both existing and prospective customers.
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with customers to generate new business and retain existing accounts.
- Identify and bid appropriate projects within the assigned market area.
- Develop and present clear, professional proposals and quotations.
- Analyze market and customer data to determine territory potential, competitor capabilities, and industry trends.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve company goals.
- Achieve territory sales and profitability targets, including specific volume and margin goals.
- Maintain a proactive pipeline of qualified leads through networking, referrals, and prospecting.
- Provide regular reports on customer needs, competitive activity, market trends, and opportunities for new products/services.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints efficiently and professionally.
- Attend and actively participate in industry associations such as HBA, CRMCA, EDC, etc.
- Support internal collections efforts as needed on assigned accounts.

Job Requirements:
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated sales experience.
- Must be a proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven professional with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a defined territory.
- Must be willing to travel within the assigned area, including occasional overnight travel, and work nights/weekends as necessary.
- Ability to thrive in both team-oriented and independent work environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to interpret civil/engineering drawings is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and technical manuals.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to speak confidently to customers and team members.
- Solid mathematical abilities, including the ability to calculate percentages, ratios, and interpret bar graphs.
