What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026-26 Speech & Language Pathology Assistant position at Central Building?
I. NATURE OF POSITION:
- The Speech and Language Pathology Assistant shall help SLP reduce or eliminate speech/language, communication and hearing disorders that interfere with the individual student’s ability to derive full benefit from the district’s educational program.
- The Speech and Language Pathology Assistantshall work with the SLP, Special Education, and through her/him with the principals and teacher in program planning and scheduling.
- The Speech and Language PathologyAssistant shall work with the SLP, various coordinators, and service personnel in furnishing programs and services to each student.
II. TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Implementing treatement plans
- Providing direst therapy services
- Assisting with screenings and assessments
- Providing client/cargiver coaching
- Mainintaining client data
III. PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: -MA or MS
- Currently licensed by the Montana Board of Speech Pathologists and Audiologists as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
- Be committed to the total district school program.
- Be willing to assume responsibility for his/her own professional growth and development.
