- Teaching & Learner Achievement – Deliver, assess and verify subject specialisms across a range of programmes, supporting students to achieve success and realise their full potential.
- Curriculum Delivery & Innovation – Plan and lead up‑to‑date schemes of work aligned to awarding body (UAL) requirements, developing engaging learning materials and contributing to innovative curriculum development.
- Assessment, Progress & Quality – Assess and moderate learner work, monitor progress against standards, complete tutorials, and contribute to quality processes, reviews and continuous improvement.
- Student Support & Enrichment – Manage learner behaviour and wellbeing, coordinate support staff in sessions, interview applicants, and enhance learning through employer links, work experience and enrichment activities.
- Professional Practice & College Contribution – Maintain accurate administration, participate in marketing and recruitment events, uphold safeguarding, EDI and health & safety, and work flexibly to meet college priorities and values.
- Qualifications & Teaching Experience – Degree (or equivalent) in Art and Design, Cert Ed (or equivalent), GCSE English and maths, with recent teaching experience and strong familiarity with UAL‑awarded provision.
- Curriculum Design & Subject Expertise – Proven ability to programme and deliver Level 1 Art and Design, developing schemes of work, project briefs and lesson plans across a broad range of creative techniques and processes.
- Teaching Quality & Learner Progress – High organisational skills, experience using college systems to track progress, and a consistent focus on delivering high‑quality, supportive learning experiences for all students.
- Collaboration, Communication & Values – Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, effective communication across all levels, and the ability to work collaboratively across College in line with TBCG values.
- Professional Practice & Safeguarding – Commitment to equality, diversity, safeguarding, health & safety and continuous professional development, with flexibility to work across sites and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
