Description:

Better Car People Proactive Dealer Solutions is actively seeking high-energy, results- driven Performance Coaches (PC) to join our team. This is a dynamic, high-impact role where you'll work directly with dealership management and staff to drive positive growth and performance improvement. As a PC, you’ll have the opportunity to influence change and make lasting impacts by delivering training, coaching, and consulting services to dealerships nationwide.


This Role Requires Extensive Travel. Candidates Must Be Able to Travel 16 Days Per Month.


Job Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Training:

  • Deliver engaging and impactful training sessions on sales and service lead management, SaaS products, and process optimization.
  • Work closely with dealership management and staff, including executive-level managers, department heads, sales staff, and Business Development Center (BDC) teams.
  • Ensure effective implementation of training and processes that drive tangible results.
  • Facilitate productive, solution-oriented discussions with clients to identify opportunities for improvement.


Sales & Lead Management:

  • Coach dealerships on lead management best practices and BCP PDS software solutions to improve sales efficiency.
  • Identify sales opportunities and present BCP PDS products and services as valuable solutions to client challenges.
  • Develop strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to drive retention and continued business growth.


Consultative Problem-Solving:

  • Use your industry expertise to identify areas for improvement, offer tailored solutions, and influence positive change within client organizations.
  • Guide clients through the effective use of BCP PDS platforms and tools to enhance their performance.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure continuous improvement and goal achievement.


Travel & Onsite Presence:

  • Spend a minimum of 75% of your time on client sites, actively engaging with dealership personnel to observe, coach, and deliver training.
  • Travel to various locations across the country, ensuring effective site visits and consistent client interaction.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of demonstrated experience in auto dealer retail in Business Development Center (BDC) operations, lead management, or sales management roles.
  • Experience as a vendor serving automotive retail is a plus and preference will be given to candidates who have operated in a coaching or training capacity.
  • Proven ability to interact with and influence clients at all levels, including executive management, department managers, and frontline staff.
  • Comfortable presenting training material in an engaging manner, ensuring proper implementation for maximum impact.
  • Strong SaaS product knowledge with the ability to coach others on software solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
  • Candidate will be expected to manage their calendar and accounts individually and will be expected to prove their training value to dealers with every in store visit.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients via in-person meetings, email, and phone.
  • Energetic and motivational personality, able to drive engagement and inspire performance improvement.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain focused despite frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to spend the majority of your time (at least 75%) walking, engaging with clients, and performing site visits.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Average Annual Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000, based on meeting the conditions set forth in Performance Coach Compensation Plan.
