Position Summary
The Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager is responsible for the ongoing credit administration, monitoring, and risk management of the bank’s commercial loan portfolio. This role focuses on maintaining asset quality, regulatory compliance, and proactive identification of credit risk.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor a commercial loan portfolio totaling $100MM or more
- Conduct annual and periodic credit reviews, renewals, and risk rating assessments
- Analyze borrower financial statements and compliance with loan covenants
- Identify deteriorating credit trends and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with lenders on loan structuring, modifications, and renewals
- Prepare credit memoranda, portfolio reports, and regulatory documentation
- Assist in the management of criticized and classified credits
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory examinations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis or portfolio management
- Experience managing $100MM commercial loan portfolios
- Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of C&I and CRE credits
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations and credit risk management practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Prior experience working complex or leveraged commercial credits
