Valuation Operations Coordinator

Position Summary

The Valuation Operations Team Member for the Appraisal Ordering Desk will assist in oversight of daily operations within the bank’s real estate appraisal department. This role is responsible for processing appraisal requests using specialized software to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely service delivery. The Valuation Operations Team Member will act as a liaison between internal stakeholders, external vendors, and the appraisal team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed. Experience in residential appraisal reviews is essential for this position to ensure the quality and appropriateness of appraisal reports for residential properties. This position receives day-to-day work direction from the Valuation Operations Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete appraisal ordering desk tasks as directed by the Valuation Operations Coordinator to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
• Monitor and manage appraisal orders using specialized banking software, ensuring all requests are processed within established timelines.
• Oversee the assignment of appraisal requests to approved vendors and track progress through completion.
• Review appraisal documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards, with a particular focus on residential appraisal reports.
• Provide training and ongoing support to team members in the use of specialized software and appraisal ordering procedures, in coordination with the Valuation Operations Coordinator.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal departments and external vendors regarding appraisal-related inquiries, escalating issues to the Valuation Operations Coordinator as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards impacting appraisal operations.
• Prepare and send appraisal reports and required disclosures in accordance with policy and required timelines.
• Support appraisal ordering desk priorities and special projects as assigned within the scope of the role.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in banking operations, appraisal management, or a related area.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in residential appraisal reviews, including assessing the quality, compliance, and suitability of residential property appraisals.
• Strong proficiency with specialized appraisal ordering software and general office applications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant banking regulations and compliance standards.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high accuracy levels.
