POSITION SUMMARY
The Flex Banker provides exceptional service and operational support to retail banking locations throughout the market. This role serves as a flexible resource, providing short-term and long-term coverage at various branches as needed. Responsibilities may include teller transactions, account opening and maintenance, safe deposit services, customer relationship building, sales referrals, and operational support. When branch coverage is not required, the Flex Banker may assist with special projects, administrative tasks, training initiatives, and other assignments that support retail banking operations. Conduct relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide coverage and support at assigned branch locations based on staffing and business needs.
- Perform teller transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, cash advances, money orders, cashier's checks, savings bonds, and other routine banking services.
- Open, maintain, and service consumer and commercial deposit accounts.
- Process account maintenance requests and prepare required documentation, including signature cards, resolutions, and related account records.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships through referrals of Bank products and services.
- Meet or exceed established sales, referral, service, and performance goals.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of teller operations, account opening procedures, banking systems, and retail banking products and services.
- Adhere to all security procedures, operational controls, audit requirements, and cash-handling policies.
- Build positive working relationships with customers and team members while adapting to varying branch environments and staffing needs.
- Assist with branch projects, administrative tasks, training initiatives, and other assignments as needed.
- Consistently demonstrate the behaviors and service standards outlined in Central Bank's Living Legendary standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist branch and department personnel as needed.
- Serve as backup support for vault balancing, ATM balancing, safe deposit services, and new account functions.
- Participate in training assignments and cross-functional learning opportunities.
- Travel to and work from various branch locations to support staffing and operational needs.
- Complete special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous teller, personal banker, or retail banking experience preferred.
- Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
- Strong customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments, procedures, and teams.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of banking products, services, and retail banking operations preferred.
- Basic math, computer, and keyboarding skills required.
- Ability to accurately handle and balance cash transactions.
- Strong judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to analyze information, make sound decisions, and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to assume additional responsibilities and participate in ongoing training.
