What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) position at Central Arkansas Heart Center?
Duties:
- Pre-op/post-op and cath lab in ambulatory surgery center, as needed
- Conduct health assessments and provide nursing care to patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the medical team
- Assist with medical imaging procedures and ensure patient safety during the process
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by cardiologists
- Provide guidance on managing chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, heart failure)
- Assist with diagnostic procedures (EKGs, stress tests, echocardiograms)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or follow-up appointments
- Ensure compliance with clinic protocols and safety standards
- Manage patient flow and scheduling in a busy clinic environment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Handle documentation for insurance and medical records
- Work closely with cardiologists, technicians, and other healthcare staff
This RN position should have skills have a clinic nurse as well as a cath lab/pre-op/post-op nurse.
Skills:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
