Pay transparency: This shift starts at $16 per hour. A 3% increase is possible with satisfactory completion of the 90 day review process.
Schedule
Full-time (4 days/week, 11-hour shifts including a weekend shift. Example: Wed-Saturday or Sunday - Wednesday)
24/7 operation (includes evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays).
What You’ll Do (Your Impact Every Day)
You’ll be one of the first people clients interact with—setting the tone for their experience at CASS.
In this role, you will:
- Welcome and check in clients, helping them access shelter services
- Guide clients through shelter expectations and available resources
- Provide real-time support, problem-solving, and referrals
- Monitor the campus to maintain a safe, respectful environment
- Document interactions and support services in HMIS software
- Assist with daily operations (beds, supplies, meals, laundry, donations)
- Respond to situations as they arise and escalate when needed

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is an active, on-your-feet role in a shelter environment.
You should be comfortable with:
- Walking and standing for extended periods
- Moving across multiple buildings on campus
- Lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Climbing stairs during routine safety checks, multiple times a day

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including data entry and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to obtain the following certifications within 90 days of hire:
- CPR/First Aid
- Naloxone (Narcan) administration
- Non-violent crisis intervention and de-escalation
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or in underserved communities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate and de-escalate conflict in a respectful, solution-focused manner
- Associate degree in communications, business administration, psychology, social work or related field
