What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator II, Student Engagement & Activities position at Central Arizona College?
Provide ongoing training and development for student governance/programming groups. Develops specific programming and implementation of district wide and campus-based leadership training, attending meetings, ensures meetings are successfully planned and implemented, minutes are successfully maintained and appropriately disseminated. Work closely with the Director to develop and deliver on a comprehensive calendar for district wide programming to include all student engagement, leadership, heritage recognition events and programs. Then ensures the calendar and/or notices of the calendar are disseminated at assigned campuses. Collaborate with the campus staff and faculty at assigned campus(es) on local campus events, programs, functions and activities to include but not limited to all student services programs. Plan, organize, implement and evaluate the success and effectiveness of student programming functions to include student organizations and activities, recreational activities, student leadership development. Recruit, coordinate, and supervise campus-based student governance/programming groups (to include but not limited to Campus Activities Board, Student Government Association, etc.). As appropriate, oversee campus selection and election processes for these student groups. Serves on the district wide New Student Orientation (NSO) planning and development group. Duties with this group include but not limited to recruitment and training of students and staff to work with campus based new student orientation programming, providing direct service during the programming, and assisting with the data collection and evaluation of NSO. Oversee and manage the creation and annual registration of student organizations clubs, recruitment of student organization; coordinate student leadership activities for these campus organizations. Ensures and documents that all student organization students and sponsors are up to date and informed about all college procedures, policies and requirements. Hire, train and supervise student workers to assist with all programming delivered by the Office of Student Life and Engagement. Oversees and collaborates on the process of approval for posting of all collateral materials at assigned campus(es) working with campus-based staff. Assists the Director in support of development of recreational programs, including but not limited to esports, educational travel, and exploration programs. Assists with the implementation of campus-based signature events and programs Provides logistical coordination, supervision, and travel support for student groups participating in local, regional, and national development and programming opportunities. Develop and employ the use of multiple methods of marketing and technology specific to connecting with students; promote a welcoming and inclusive environment at all CAC locations.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years related experience
Employment with Central Arizona College is contingent upon the successful completion of the background verification. The level the background verification for this position is: Standard level.

This is a pension system that requires mandatory contributions from the employee with a matching contribution from the employer. The 25-26 fiscal year contribution rate is 12.00%.
