Surgical Technologists at CentraCare are critical to successful surgeries! Your hands are often closer to the surgeon’s than anyone else’s.
Our Surg Techs are there to prepare for a patient’s arrival and stay in the operating room to ensure their best possible outcome. You’ll prepare operating rooms for a wide range of surgeries and procedures, inventory surgical materials and tools to assure patient safety, and suit up with surgeons to help them save and improve patients’ lives.
Schedule:
- Part-Time, 56 hours every two weeks
- Monday through Friday day shifts, with rotating holidays
- Off-premise call requiring a 30-minute response time during weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
Pay and Benefits:
- Surgical Technologists starting pay begins at $29.34 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
- Pay range: $29.34 - $44.31 per hour

Education:
- Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Associate Degree from a surgical first assistant program.
Qualifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous Surgical technician experience preferred.
- Must possess demonstrated communication skills, be team minded, able to read and communicate effectively in English, strong written and verbal skills and possess strong interpersonal human relations skills.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or work independently as needed.
- Respond onsite within 30 minutes when “on call”.
- Basic computer knowledge required.
To be eligible for the sign-on bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full-time or part-time benefited position. Previous employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.
To be eligible for the relocation bonus you must accept a position that offers benefits and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away and relocate to within 30 miles of primary work location within 120 days.
