What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN | Float Pool position at CentraCare?
Summary
The RN in the Float Pool is the basic level of professional nursing practice. She/he identifies and implements nursing interventions that have less predictable outcomes and evaluates the results of these interventions for a given patient population. A nurse at this level may be required to assume leadership responsibility.
Nurses in our Float Pool serve patients on the following units:
- ER
- ICU (those that are trained)
- Ambulatory Care Department
- Med/Surg
- Women and Children’s
Schedule
Casual position
Pick up various shifts - day, evening and night shifts with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour available
Pay and Benefits
- Pay based on experience and degree
- Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $40.79 per hour
- Bachelor’s in nursing starting at $41.14 per hour
- Master’s in nursing starting at $43.20 per hour
- Pay range: $40.79 - $61.76 per hour

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure in the State of Minnesota.
- Understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients of all ages in relation to the growth and development processes to include neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
